General
Q. How do I connect my Scroll to my PC via USB?
A. To connect the Scroll to your computer you will first need to mount your device in Windows. To do this, connect your Scroll via the supplied USB cable. A Windows hardware wizard will now start, cancel this and refer to your Scroll. On the device home screen click the physical menu button and select notifications. From the next menu select USB Connected (Internal) and then mount as prompted.
Your Scroll will now appear as a removable storage device on your computer and you should now be able to copy and paste files between devices.
Q. Are spare parts or screens available for my Scroll?
A. Unfortunately we do not stock spare parts or components, only complete units.
Screens
As the screen (LCD module and touch digitizer) constitutes the highest proportion of the cost of the bill of materials, when combined with logistics and labour charges on an individual unit basis it is not feasible to offer a paid for repair service.
Similarly we are also unable to offer the LCD module and digitizer as an after-market component spare for this reason amongst other factors.
Q. I cannot access the Google calendar function via the app on my Scroll tablet.
A. Google has recently made changes to the way their web-based calendar system works, which affects Android tablets such as the Scroll. The calendar can now only be accessed via web browser or mobile phone. To access this on your tablet use the Android web browser and go to https://www.google.com/calendar. From here you can sign into your Gmail account and access your calendar as you would on a computer.

A. Check that the earphones are not connected or the sound output is not muted by using the physical volume buttons on the side of Scroll to adjust the volume.
Q. When I try to type on my Scroll Essential it sometimes misses out letters.
A. A number of Scroll products including the Essential, miScroll and first generation 7 and 8’’ models use resistive touch screen technology, not the capacitive technology found in other models such as Scroll Excel. You need to ensure you touch the screen with some pressure for accurate typing. Using a stylus will also help improve accuracy.
