App Download Guide: Available Here

I have a Scroll Excel 4.0 and while searching the site for some support options I came across this Anti Virus trial. I tried to follow the pdf guide that I downloaded via the “Available Here” link but found that the intructions were very different to my reality. I am using a PC running Windows Vista (64 bit) and Scroll Excel 4.0.
I took the liberty of documenting the differences and included them below.
1 Download .apk files to your computer from your favorite Android apps website and save them in an easy to find folder.
2 Connect your Scroll to your computer using the included USB cable (use the USB port labeled USB)

5
6 The Scroll detects the USB connection and displays “ USB connected” at the top of the screen. At the bottom of the display is a button “Turn on USB storage” Press this to activate USB storage.
Read the advisory message and select OK to proceed.
The Scroll now displays “USB storage in use” at the top of the screen, with “Turn off USB storage” near the
bottom”
Auto play dialogue boxes open on the PC. One for the Scroll device, the other for the SD card ??
7 Select “Open folder to view files” under “General options
Your Scroll will now appear to your computer as removable storage.
*Windows users go to My Computer, the Scroll will usually present as a drive named A
** Mac users will find the Scroll appears on the desktop once mounted as a drive named A
8 You now need to copy the apps (.apk files) you have downloaded from your computer to the Scroll.
Simply copy the apps from the folder you are storing them in then paste them in on the removable disk which represents the Scrolls internal storage – I choose the Scroll Excel 4.0 apps folder
Once you have copied all the apps you want to your Scroll you need to unmount your Scroll.
Select the “Turn off USB Storage” icon near the bottom of the scroll display.
Eject the USB device form the PC using the “Safely remove hardware” feature and
disconnect the USB cable from both your Scroll and computer
9 On your Scroll open the App Installer application, press menu and select settings. Choose and confirm the clear Cache option to scan the “/nand”
Close and reopen the App Installer application.
10 The app files you copied to your Scroll should now appear in a list
11 Select the app you wish to use, click Install and the app will then be installed ready for use on your Scroll
P.S. The original problem was resolved by browsing one of the forums linked to your site.
Many thanks
